International PhD Programmes in English: for application procedures see Doctoral/Ph.D at the bottom of International degree programmes.

Individial research projects.  Almost every AMU Faculty offers independent research options. In 2010, 2009 and 2008, Poland’s National Conference of Doctoral Students awarded AMU the title of the Best Institution of Higher Education in Poland.

Students who have a master's degree from reputable universities, are considered for postgraduate research programmes/projects.

Postgraduate research degrees are individually supervised. We strongly recommend that prospective applicants make initial enquiries with the potential supervisor or Faculty before submitting a formal application. You must specify the research topic and send your research proposal and CV/Resume.
If you would like to do research at AMU, please write to the Head or Secretary of Doctoral Studies at a chosen Faculty (see Contacts there). It is the Faculty which approves the candidates.

If you need a visa, you should consult the Polish diplomatic mission in your country.
To apply, please fill in APPLICATION ON LINE where you will select doctoral studies. The list of request documents is there. Follow instructions in the application.
Administrative matters are handled by Ms Joanna Hołderny,  e-mail: holderny@amu.edu.pl, Collegium Minus, Room 206, phone: (+48) 61 829 4068.
